V. Shankar is the Co-Founder & CEO of Maximus Infoware India Private Limited. Since founding Maximus in 2007, he has led corporate strategy, business development and product direction while working hands-on with banks and fintechs to translate real customer pain points into robust roadmaps.

Before Maximus, Shankar served as Managing Director & CEO of the Interconnected Stock Exchange of India (ISE), which linked 14 stock exchanges and supported 4,500+ trading members. Earlier, as Director – IT & Market Operations at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), he drove the rollout of the BSE Online Trading (BOLT) system and several other large-scale technology initiatives.

Shankar holds an engineering degree and a master's in business management. Outside work, he enjoys travelling, classical music, and humour - especially the writings of P. G. Wodehouse.

Uma Shankar is the Co-Founder, Chief Financial Officer & Chief People Officer of Maximus Infoware India Private Limited. She leads the company's finance, governance and people strategy—overseeing capital allocation, investments, risk management, budgeting and compliance while building a high-trust, performance-driven culture. Under her stewardship, Maximus was rated "financially stable" by CRISIL/S&P in 2018, reflecting the company's disciplined controls and sustainable growth.

Before co-founding Maximus, Uma ran a successful packaged software distribution business for eight years, earning multiple awards and serving 3,000+ customers; several members of that team continue to contribute at Maximus today. Earlier, she spent a decade with State Bank of India and Syndicate Bank, gaining frontline banking experience that now informs Maximus's product, delivery and customer success priorities.

Uma is a CPA (USA) and ICWA (India), combining global financial rigor with deep operating expertise. As CPO, she champions talent development, inclusion and learning pathways aligned to Maximus's mission of Payment Engineering & Digital Transformation. Outside work, she enjoys travelling, Indian classical music, and reading autobiographies and travelogues.

Kiran Poojary is a Director at Maximus Infoware India Private Limited. A senior investment professional with ~18 years of experience in venture capital and private equity focused on the SME segment, he has worked across the full investment lifecycle—deal sourcing, appraisal, due diligence, legal documentation, disbursement, portfolio monitoring, and exits—for multiple Venture Capital / Alternative Investment Funds. Kiran also serves as a Nominee Director on the boards of several investee companies, bringing a disciplined governance lens and long-term value creation focus.

At Maximus, Kiran contributes investor and boardroom perspective to strategy, risk oversight, and sustainable growth as the company scales its payment engineering and digital transformation portfolio.

Kiran holds a Management and Law degree, is a Company Secretary (ICSI), and has earned CAIIB from IIBF along with a PGDSL (GLC). His combined background in finance, law, and governance enables balanced decision-making at the intersection of innovation, compliance, and shareholder value.
